This program teaches grammar basics in a step-by-step manner, allowing students to work at their own pace within a flexible schedule. The curriculum is open-book and covers parts of speech and sentence patterns. Each level takes half a school year to complete, after which students can apply what they’ve learned to writing and reading assignments in other language arts programs. Bi-weekly exercises are provided throughout the year for additional review. The Student Worktext includes exercise worksheets, Playing with Words activities, assessments, and notes with examples and instruction. Analytical Grammar Level 1: Grammar Basics is an elementary introduction to the nine parts of speech and foundational grammar skills, including sentence diagramming. This softcover program is intended for grades 4-6.
