Description

This grammar program is specifically designed for middle-schoolers and offers student-paced learning through various activities that reinforce and systematically increase knowledge. It takes a part of the school year to complete each level, and after that, students can apply what they’ve learned to writing and reading assignments in their other language arts programs. Bi-weekly exercises are also provided during the remaining school year to continue reviewing what they have learned.

Analytical Grammar Level 5: Punctuation and Usage is one of the levels of this program that gives students the chance to develop comprehensive knowledge of punctuation and word usage. The topics covered include comma errors and rules, punctuating quotations, dialogue, and titles, semicolons and colons, forming possessives, learning how to use who and whom, choosing pronouns, identifying adjectives and adverbs, and more.

The Student Worktext has everything the students need to learn, such as notes, instructions, examples, and practice exercises. It also includes assessments, review exercises with answer keys for basic diagramming skills and parts of speech knowledge, and weekly instruction practice and application and enrichment activities for functional writing skills. This resource is available in softcover and is recommended for grades 7 and 8.
