The Novel Unit series comes with a Student Packet and a separate Teacher’s Guide called Around the World in Eighty Days, which can be purchased on its own. Before beginning the book, there are a few pre-reading activities included to see how well the student knows the context. After starting the novel, there are vocabulary activities, graphic organizers, reviews, and comprehension questions, quizzes, a final test, puzzles, project and essay ideas, and an answer key. These exercises will help students with literary and character analysis, as well as critical thinking and comprehension skills. The student questions include page numbers that reference the edition quoted in the front cover. The book is 48 pages and can be reproduced for classroom use. It is best suited for grades 9-12.
